One of the hardest things as a military mom, wife, fiance, child, etc. is having a loved one deploy. Wives have it really hard depending on the homefront. They become the father/mother/mom/confidante....lots of hats to juggle. Moms....wow....what can I say. We know we are allowing our child to go to an area that we have no control over, we can't fight their battle, we can't make it better. All we can do is sit back and support their decision. Half of our psych is saying how proud we are of our little hero and the other is being the normal mom wishing we could tell them no. There is no way to make it better...but remember....you raised that little hero and all your redundant training is there inside their head....so that means you are not only in their heart but also in their actions. The services provide lots of forums and services but it takes real people with real caring and understanding to help get those people through.

I know that being the strong women that we are we don't want people to see us as weak so alot of times we keep it inside. I am really happy that the women here can soothe and make things better and are here with shoulders (albeit virtual) for those of us who might need them.

Thank you...my heart is yours for being here.
